Placement rules that cost nothing
- Desk perpendicular to the window, not facing it (screen glare) and not back to it (silhouette on video calls).
- Nothing on the desk you don’t touch daily. Small desks die by accumulation.
- Chair fully under the desk when you finish. In a shared or small room, being able to “close” the office matters more than any purchase.
